(NAPSI)-The joy of an entertainment-driven resort town is that each year brings new diversions. That's truly the case this year in Pigeon Forge, Tenn., where Dollywood's silver anniversary, a Titanic museum and abundant new theater activity fill the calendar. Dollywood, which celebrates the heritage of the Great Smoky Mountains, marks its 25th season with Adventure Mountain, a two-acre expanse of 140 skill-testing rope trails, net ladders, swinging bridges, flying islands, pulleys, moving beams and a tire traverse. Riders travel 300 feet head first in channels that include a speed-building initial dip. The Travel Channel twice named Splash Country a Top 10 water park. The Titanic Museum Attraction may be the most unexpected addition to a mountain town. It's a $25 million, half-scale, permanent, three-deck reproduction of the ill-fated ship. It displays hundreds of priceless artifacts in more than 20 galleries that include replicas of the "Grand Staircase," a first-class suite, a third-class cabin and the bridge. Interactive touches include feeling an iceberg, climbing into a lifeboat and testing 28-degree water. Live entertainment is a big part in Pigeon Forge, and the biggest new show is the Miracle Theater's lavish presentation of the Broadway hit "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat." The theater's original production, "The Miracle," is the matinee feature. Magic is the trick at two theaters. The "Wonders of Magic" matinee show in the WonderWorks Imagination Theater stars Terry Evanswood, the youngest illusionist to perform at Hollywood's famed Magic Castle, while Sean-Paul the Magic Man, his telepathic wife Juliane and Frankie the Monkey star in a new production at the Magic Beyond Belief Theater on the Parkway. Also on the Parkway, the Tennessee Shindig's new headliners include multiple Elvis Presleys, The Beatles and Michael Jackson -or, more accurately, artists paying high tribute to them and other legends from country, Motown and pop.
