(NAPSA)—For many women, nuns and religious sisters have provided a role model of women in powerful positions. Today, Catholic womenreligious occupy high levels of achievement in manyprofessional fields from the board room to executive offices. “The magnitude of the contributions of religious women to our Church and to Americansociety is overwhelming,” said Msgr. William A. Kerr, executive director of A new exhibit charts the history and influence of Catholic reli- gious womenin the U.S. the Pope John Paul II Cultural Center. To honorthis contribution, the center is staging an exhibit titled “God’s Women: Nuns in America” through Jan. 30, 2005. The exhibit spans a 300-yearhistory, highlighting the lives of three American saints, Elizabeth Ann Seton, Frances Cabrini and Kath- erine Drexel. It also looks at nuns in popular culture, including the Flying Nun, the Singing Nun and the Ingrid Bergman-nun. Photographs and more than 50 dolls in authentic habits are featured.
