Leaders Pope John Paul Il Exhibit (NAPSA)—It’s a blessing for many that the landmark exhibit telling the story of Pope John Paul ITs bonds with the Jewish community opens its international tour in Washington, D.C. The exhibition, called “A Blessing to One Another: Pope John Paul II and the Jewish People,” runs through Jan. 15, 2006. IB, ee) a A A BLEssinG—Pope John Paul II greets Rabbi Elio Toaff, chief rabbi of Rome. It immersesthe viewerin thelife and times of Karol Wojtyla, the future Pope, starting with his childhood and culminating in a series of papalfirsts, beginning with his dramatic visit to the Synagogue of Rome and later establishing ties with Israel and visiting the Holy Land. Eight-foot-high replicas of vintage photographs form the walls that enclose the more than 2,000- foot exhibit space. The exhibit name comes from the Pope’s 1993 appeal marking the 50th anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto uprising. Admission to the Pope John Paul II Cultural Center is by donation.
