On UnderageDrinking And Impaired Driving (NAPSA)—Every year, underage drinking and driving crashes cause more than 2,200 deaths. Although automobile crashes are the number one cause of death for teens in America, there’s something teens can do to keep from being anotherstatistic. Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) offers a national education program through which young people strive to save lives through sober driving, seat belt use, and safedriving habits. FACTS—Families Acting for Community Traffic Safety—is dedicated to helping teens learn about therealities of traffic safety. FCCLA members” work together with the National Organizations for Youth Safety (NOYS) to help today’s youth put the brakes on impaired driving and traffic crashes. Through peer education, teens can help their friends arrive alive and lower the numberoftraffic-related deaths in America. By becoming involved with FCCLA,teens can be informed on the realities of traffic safety.
