Aging Population Puts Spotlight On Eldercare

(NAPSA)—People today are living longer than ever and, as baby boomers continue graying into the next three decades, seniors will become one of the nation’s largest age groups. It’s a demographic shift that will lead to greater responsibility for adult children. According to a survey by the National Alliance for Caregiving/AARP, more than 22 million U.S. households are involved in some kind of eldercare. That translates to some 14.4 million full- and part-time employees who are also caregivers. Recently, eldercare has caught the attention of employee assistance programs (EAPs).
