The study, conducted by the Alliance for Affordable Services, an association of entrepreneurs cre- ated to help small businesses stay competitive in their fields, found that the mean annual incomeofits members was well above the national average. The group says entrepreneurs and small businesses have been leading contributors to the recent success of the American economy and havecreated a disproportionate number of new jobs and product innovations. Experts say the overall success of small businesses is dependent on many factors including the ability to compete in their own target markets. That’s why it may be toa business owner’s advantage to join a group of other entrepreneurs.
