Young Women Can Win Volunteerism Awards

Cover Girl Cosmetics and Seventeen Magazine joined forces to honor young women who've made a difference with the Fifth Annual Seventeen/Cover Girl Volunteerism Awards. Calling All Captains Three top winners will each receive $10,000 scholarships and $10,000 donations to the organizations they support. Three secondplace winners will be awarded $5,000 scholarships and $5,000 donations to the organizations they support. All six of these “captains” will be invited to an awards ceremony in Washington, D.C. in Spring 2002. In addition, winners will be featured in Seventeen, and they'll each receive a $250 shopping spree courtesy of Target. Are You A Player? If you’ve made a volunteerism “power play” in the past, such as volunteering at a hospital, you could be one of 100 “players” on an all-star team. “Players” score a cosmetics case full of Cover Girl products, a Seventeen gift bag and a $25 shopping spree from Target. Get In The Game Get recognized for your good deeds or nominate a friend. Provide the following on an 8 4” x 11” piece of paper: * Nameof person being nominated, address, phone number, age as of October 15, 2001, birth date, name of school and grade/year. (Contest is open to females 12-21 years old whoare legal residents of the 50 United States and District of Columbia.) * Ifa minoris being nominated, the name and signature of a parent/legal guardian is required.
