Registering Made Easy (NAPS)—For an increasing number of American men,technol- ogy is putting something theyall have to do at their fingertips. It’s now possible to register with the Selective Service System online with a smartphone or com- puter. Young men are required by law to register with the Selective Service System within 30 days of turning 18. They can submit their names as early as age 17 years and 3 months. Men must register to remain eligible for Pell Grants, College Work-Study and Guaranteed Student/PLUS Loans, federal job training via the Workforce Investment Act, and federaljobs.
