Keep Yourself Out of Harm’s Way (NAPSA)—While personalsafety andsecurity are growing concerns, armed with expert adviceit is possible to avoid dangeroussituations. For example, the producers of Court TV’s hit true-crimereality series “Forensic Files” offer these valuable safety tips: Ls iil : a sar ae 1) Beware of “bump & rob” accidents: drivers who deliberately bump your car to get you to stop, and then rob you. If this happens to you, do not stop to exchange personal and insurance information until you’re in a safe, welllit area. 2) Always have gas in yourcar. Always have money for a cab or bus. 3) Do not allow children to answer the door. They are generally less cautious than adults. 4) When getting on elevators, stand near the buttons and push your floor button only after others do theirs. If you are suspicious of others on the elevator, get off immediately. 5) Ask anyone giving you a ride not to leave until you are safely inside your building or until you start your car and driveoff. 6) If you plan to meet a stranger, such as someone from the Internet or someone you don’t completely trust, do so in a public place. Always have an “angel”—a friend who knows the name, address and telephone numberof the person you’re going to meet. Make sure the person you meet knowsthis.
