Ride A “Duck” (NAPSA)—Visitors to Wisconsin Dells can take in the scenery and learn a little history when they ride like a world leader aboard an Original Wisconsin Duck. These unique land-andwater vehicles take visitors on an 8.5-mile tour of the Dells’ beauti4 ful terrain. Nearly 60 years ago, ducks were vital in tackling the rugged beaches of Europe and the South Pacific during World WarII and proved an invaluable tool for the Allies. In the days following DDay, three world leaders rode ashore at Normandy on ducks: British Prime Minister Winston Churchill, Britain’s King George VI and the soon-to-be French President Charles De Gaulle. Today’s ducks take Dells visitors in and aroundthe scenic Wisconsin River with its towering sandstone cliffs. The one-hour tour also splashes down into Lake Delton, navigates narrow, shady gorges and climbs windingtrails, treating passengers to beautiful vistas.
