The new Brooker Creek Preserve Environmental Education Center —located in the St. Petersburg/ Clearwater area—offers some fun and wild features: Oneof the best places to explore Florida’s natural environment may be a new educational center in the heart of the St. Petersburg/ Clearwaterarea. An object theater, where holographic residents from the county’s past step off the screen; A scaled up version of a gophertortoise burrow that kids— and adults—canclimb through; An interactive exhibit showing the life cycle of the surrounding wetlands. Six thousand square feet of exhibits introduce visitors to the preserve’s habitats. Hands-on exhibits and high-tech media seamlessly mix to provide exciting experiences, while two classrooms/labs let visitors delve deeper into topics and issues.
