The massive event re-created circus parades from the early 1900s. The Great Circus Parade tradition dates back to 19638, when it enjoyed its inaugural season and began a 10-year run in Milwaukee. The event spent the next 25 years alternating between Baraboo, Chicago and Milwaukee.
