Since its inception in 1919, Junio (JA) has helped inspire more than 100 million young people with its programs focused on entrepre- neurship, financial literacy and work readiness. Now, JA is hoping to engage these formerstudents, today’s JA Alum- ni, as volunteers to inspire and prepare today’s youngpeoplefor success. According to a survey of more than 700 JA Alumni conducted by JA USA,for- merJA students are 30 percent more likely to have a four-year degree, earn about20 percent more than the average American, and are 2% times morelike- ly to be involvedin starting a business. Additionally, aboutonein three (30 percent) JA Alumnisay their involvement with Junio influenced their career decision andonein five (20 percent) work in the samecareerfield as the JA volunteerthey hadin school. “Ouralumniare an important constituent group for Junio? said Jack E.
