THE LAW! Copyright Protection (NAPSA)—From burning CDs and DVDs to downloading music off the Internet, technology has made it easier to access copy- righted materials—perhaps saving the consumer a few dollars, but ultimately taking that money out of the pocketof the creative party. The consumer electronics industry supports the rights of artists and inventors. The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) says technological development should not be constrained for the sake of protecting copyrights. Consumer electronics are a vital link, allowing the world’s citizens access to information, education and entertainment the CEA explains. Increased access to this technology will shrink the digital divide and produce a renaissance in arts, science, music, academics andcreativity around the world it adds.
