New Trends For Fall (NAPSA)—From the picturesque setting of the Petit Palais in Paris, Marith and Francois Girbaud presented their fall/winter 2002 collection. Innovative, artis- tic and extremely well thought out, & the collection features several new & and interestingsil- houettes for men : and women. New af for the season are the latest tech- niques the French duo haveincorporated: pressed pleats in leather, cotton and synthet- ics. The pleating gives the clothing a crumpled, vintage effect without look1 ing as if it’s been sitting in your laundry basket for the past week. Another key element for the collection is a trademarkedfabric called Sensitive. This m-| langed fabric, usually reserved for swimsuits, is used in men’s pullovers, anoraks and blazers. Sensitive not only has the , look and feel of natural cashmere, but also repels water. The women have plenty of stylized streetwear looks to choose to add to their wardrobes: military-inspired wool overcoats with hidden pockets and hand- stitched embroidery details; ecru denim pants suits and jackets; architecturally designed, black flowing even- ing dresses; and a | colorful play on the { Eskimo and Nordic looks. “@
