Game Helps Students Learn AboutInvesting (NAPSA)—Anannual competition is once again helping middle school and high school students develop a better understanding of how both the economy and the U.S. governmentfunction. Called the Capitol Hill Challenge, it has student teams invest a hypothetical $100,000 to see which team can develop the most profitable portfolio. Student teams are taking part in a game that stresses the impor- tance of saving and investing, while promoting a better understanding of government. Sponsored by the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) Foundation, the Challenge uses the Foundation’s Stock Market Game as a basis for the competition. Congressional Support Each team in the competition is matched with a member of Congress from thedistrict or state and this year more than 50 members of Congress visited teams in-district. The 10 teamswith the best returns will be recognized at an awards reception in Washington, D.C. on June17.
