Just like the contest on the field, tailgating is a game that requires practice, sure hands, quick reflexes and the ability to work as a team. Makea list of the items you will need for setup, cooking, serving and cleanup, such as plates, napkins, towels, cups, utensils, first-aid kit, trash bags, water, food storage containers, and damp towels to clean hands andface. Keep it Simple. Plan your menu in advance by doing the prep work a day or twoprior to the game, or choose easy-to-tackle products that combine convenience with homemadetaste, such as new Campbell’s Chunkychili. Be sure to serve your guests at least one hour prior to kick off. This will give everyone ample time to eat, socialize and clean up. The Early Bird Gets the Space. Not all parking spaces are created equal. Arrive three to four hours early. Park next to a grassy area or at the end of the parking row, which allows for more room to spread out. If tailgating in an area for the first time, ask your neighbors if you are parking in someone’s regular spot. Leave the Area Like You Experts suggest not to spend more time facing your grill than your friends. Found it. Stadium parking lots are well equipped with garbage receptacles at the end of each aisle, so be sure to leave the area clean. If you are cooking with charcoal, please dispose of it properly and makesure thatall bottles, cans and garbage find a recycling and/or trash bin.
