accident on the island of Hawaii in December 2004, it touched the lives of manychildren. Sarah was a role model, teacher and mentor to smaller kids. She was active in her 4-H club and helped kindergartners with activities to get to know one another while having fun at the same time. Sarah, who had planned to becomea teacher, made everyonefeel special. Sarah’s inspiration continues today. The Sweethearts 4-H Club of Kona, Hawaii, to which she belonged, is selling wristbands and car magnets in honor of their friend’s favorite 4-H program, Kindergartners Are Most Precious (KAMP). It’s a program that shows kids the importance of learning and how to overcome their fears of attending kindergarten and take those important first steps into school. Sarah set such an example to her 4-H friends, and whentheylost her, they were inspired to carry on her work.
