Kelly Executive Director Eastern Paralyzed Veterans Association (NAPSA)—Asour great nation observes Memorial Day, there is a new honorroll of brave Americans who have made the ultimate sacrifice in a faraway land to preserve our freedom. The conflict in Iraq, like many previous wars, has taken its toll on the best and the brightest youth in our country. May God bless them, and may they rest in peace comforted by the enduring gratitude of our citizens. This year, the Eastern Paralyzed Veterans Association urges our fellow Americans to remember exactly why we have a Memorial Day. It is to honor through reflection and prayer those courageous men and women who have lost their lives in battle. Please take the time to attend a Memorial Day ceremony or parade in your community to pay tribute to our gallant deceased soldiers. We also want to encourage our fellow Americans to continue to support our troops who are in harm’s way around the world. Remember, they do not choose to go to places like Iraq and Afghanistan. We recognize that not every American supports the war in Iraq. But surely, we all can and we must support the troops who are there simply carrying out their duty. The Eastern Paralyzed Veterans Association can think of no better way to show support the year round for our troops than to display our colors. We can help you do that. We have on hand to anyone who requests it a free pamphlet entitled “How To Display Our Flag.” And, Old Glory waves -- \G on our “America Is #1 Thanks To Our Veterans” bumpersticker, and on our “Proud To Be American” decal.
