Giving Back, With Grace

(NAPSA)—Twoyears ago, 10year-old Grace Farnan’s grandmother passed away peacefully while in the loving care of the Hospice of the North Shore (HNS) in Danvers, Mass. To show her gratitude to the hospice and the people who lovingly cared for her grandmother in her final days, Grace became the youngest ever volunteer at HNS. Grace tirelessly dedicated herself to HNS, starting programs to collect picture frames and create guest books for clients to keep their nearest and dearestclose by. To date, Grace has collected more than 225 picture frames and, with the help of her Girl Scout troop, created 500 handmade guest books. Grace’s dedication earned her the second annual Alexandra Scott Butterfly Award and $25,000 for a charity of her choice in the Volvo for life Awards, an annual search for and celebration of local heroes.
